Up and Running!

Monday= B Tuesday= C Wednesday= D Thursday= A Friday= B Happy Monday, families! I am so sorry for the delay in our posts! I have been having a tough time with this website server and am just now FINALLY able to post successfully. Whew! Thank you to everyone who made it to last week's Art Walk. I hope you all enjoyed looking through your first grader's "Pieces" of work. They were so proud of their masterpieces. Are we head into the end of our year together (CRAZY!) we are going to start picking up the pace to TURBO-speed! Here are some things to keep on your calendar: 1. Musical! Our first grade musical is NEXT Thursday April 18 at Wheatridge Middle School. This week and next will be spent polishing and perfecting this darling performance. Please be sure to read the letter that came home on Friday from Mrs. Neely with more details about costumes and details of the performance night. Let me know if you have any questions. 2. Carnival! Our school carnival is Friday April 26. We are still in need of donations of indidual bags of Goldfish crackers, as well as donations of time! If you are able to help run a station for 30 minutes, we would be so grateful. Let me know if you would be willing to volunteer your time. Thank you in advance. Power Drills and this week's spelling words are coming home today. Be sure to check your child's backpack. Ask your child to tell you about Jane Goodall and her chimpanzee, David Greybeard. We read an article today about Dr. Goodall and learned about her unique job. Check your child's comprehension to see if they remember what we learned. Please help your first grader stick to a regular bedtime. I had many sleepy kiddos today and that makes learning difficult! Let me know if you have any questions with all the activities this month.
