WOW! What a fast and fun Friday on this Halloween Eve weekend! Thank you to all of the parents who helped make our fall party this afternoon a HUGE success. We had a shape-walk center where we used different verbs to move to the Halloween music. There was a snack station and a craft station. Finally, we had a mummy-wrap relay as well as a pumpkin, eyeball and apple relay too! Your child will be worn out tonight!
You won't believe all of the things that we got accomplished on TOP of the party today, too. This morning we wrote a book about the 12 Days of Halloween. Ask your child to tell you about the page they authored. We talked more about adjectives and found adjectives in a spooky poem about a dark, dark house. We created our own Halloween continuum to order things that were the least spooky all the way to the most spooky for us. We created a pumpkin glyph AND had time to have Power Half-Hour for all of our class members who completed their Power Drills on time. WHEW! It was a wonderful day.
Please stay warm this Halloween night. Be sure your child gets plenty of sleep so that they are ready to come back to school on Monday morning with fun stories and a healthy body. Have a super-duper weekend and I'll see you in November!
