Monday = A Tuesday = B Wednesday = C Thursday = D Friday = A
Happy Monday families! We had a perfect PUMPKIN day. We learned so much about pumpkins and the science behind how they grow. We began creating our pumpkin patch diarama and we also created a disected paper pumpkin, labeled with all of the parts. See if your child can name the 5 parts of a pumpkin. I learned something new, myself!
We also had firefighter Aaron come and visit us today. He talked about fire safety and even let us get aboard his cool yellow fire truck. Ask your child to tell you about their visitor. They also have extra homework tonight! As a family, you need to decide on a safe meeting place if you would ever have a fire at your home.
A few friendly reminders for the week:
1. Tomorrow is Camoflage Day for Red Ribbon Week! If you have some camo, wear it and join us in the "FIGHT" against drugs!
2. Our second Power Drill is coming home TONIGHT! Remember, your child has until Thursday to complete it in order to earn their ticket to "Power Half Hour" on Friday!
3. This Friday October 29 is our Fall Party from 2:30-3:25. If you have not already emailed our room rep, please look on last Friday's newsletter and email her at your earliest conveinence. Also, if you signed up to help or supply food at the party, she will be calling you this week! Thanks so much!
That's all for now, friends! Your child has an extra night to practice their sight words. Due to our firefighter visitor and all of our pumpkin work, we didn't have our sight word window today. We will test tomorrow for sure!
Have a wonderful night! Enjoy this fall weather!
