Monday Madness

We're back! It was WONDERFUL to have everyone back AND healthy! Yay! We kicked off second quarter with lots of pre-assesment work. The kids did a lot of journaling today about their fall break and it was fun to hear about all of their adventures and activities. At the end of the day, we buddied up with Mrs. Keister's first grade class to begin creating our jack-o-lantern lanterns. They are sure to make our room look spooky and festive for our fall party next FRIDAY OCTOBER 29th!

Today your child's first Power Drill is coming home! Remember, you and your child need to read the Power Drill agreement together and sign the commitment form. THEN, your child has today, tomorrow and Wednesday to complete both sides of their Power Drill. ALL POWER DRILLS ARE DUE BACK ON THURSDAY! If your child returns their homework, they will earn their way to our super-fun Power Half-Hour on Friday. Please help your child be successful by setting aside a few minutes each night to help them complete their homework. Thank you so much for your support. It will pay off for your child, I promise!

Thank you again to all of your who attended last week's conferences! I loved talking to each one of you about your amazing children. If you were unable to attend, I am MORE than happy to reschedule and meet you at your conveinence. Please let me know!

One more thing, if you have pretty fall trees in your neighborhood that are starting to drop their leaves, could you send some in to class? I am wanting to do some fall leaf activities and my trees are not dropping their leaves yet. We are looking for all sizes and all fall colors! Also, if you could start hunting around your work places, neighborhoods, and houses for empty coffee cans we could really use them! Thanks so much for all of your continued support at home.
